Sebastian is my ten-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
The boys often ask me, when we have some dead time on our hands–standing in line, driving in the car, waiting for our food at a restaurant–to play some sort of game. On one such occasion, we were playing a game where one person chooses a category and offers the first example. Each subsequent player offers another example, which has to start with the last letter of the immediately previous player’s choice. On this given day, the category was “Geography.”
We were well into the game and we were running out of choices, particularly for certain letters.
Me: “Nashville.”
Seba, after considerable deliberation as we had already gone through many places that started with the letter “E”: “East coast?”
Me: “Well played!”
Seba. “Wait, I can do that?!”
I nodded.
Seba: “Wow, I rock!”
Sebastian is growing up. Where is he in school?
