I am on the road once again this week, thus, as I normally do when traveling, I revisit a Sundays are for Sebastian. This one comes from about three years ago….
Sebastian is my seven-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
We were out visiting my in-laws and near the end of our stay, we decided that Nathan, our older son, should go over to his cousins’ house (about an hour away) and stay there for the remainder of our stay. I wondered how Sebastian felt about the separation with his brother.
Me: “Did you want to go with your brother?”
Sebastian: “Yes.”
Me: “Are you going to miss him?”
Seba: “Yeah.”
Me: “Do you want me to take you over there tomorrow?”
Seba: “Yes!”
Tammy: “Or would you rather stay here and have the donut that was left over from this morning?”
[Pause]
Seba: “I’ll take the donut.”
