I am back in the Midwest this week, not doing anything around wine (other than drinking it), but visiting my family for a few days. It is also my favorite time of year. Why? Simple. Le Tour de France. While I never came close to that level, I did race a bit “back in the day” and the Tour is the Super Bowl for cyclists. And it lasts three weeks.
So my only reminder today, concerns the Tour. If you are a fan and want a bit of the “behind the scenes” information, you should check out a podcast by a good friend of mine, Bobby Julich. If you are a fan of American cycling, you have heard of Bobby, one of the best cyclists this country has produced. (Here is one of my favorite stories about riding with Bobby.)

Bobby finished third in the 1998 Tour behind Jan Ullrich and Marco Pantani (AFP Photo).
His podcast is available on VeloNews and even though I had a problem with the name (but he obviously didn’t listen to me), it is an entertaining and informative podcast.
Check it out, you can find them here:
Put Your Socks on with Bobby Julich
If you do listen, let me know what you think and I will be sure to pass it along to Bobby!
That’s all I have today—have a great and safe Saturday!
I had the pleasure of interviewing Bobby for VeloVoices, such a lovely chap. I will definitely listen to the podcast.

I remember his name but not his riding! Maybe not as huge a fan. Still on stage 12 of this year’s tour!
Would love to see posts about your cycling if you still are doing it?
