Saturday Reminders—8/31/19

Looking at my watch, I see it is a chilly 77° outside right now, which makes me contemplate wearing additional clothing to handle the frigid temperature. Before I go, I wanted to let you all know that I am going to be out in Mendocino this week, heading to Winesong, the premiere annual charity auction & wine + food tasting on the Mendocino Coast, produced by the Mendocino Coast Healthcare Foundation.

Since 1985, the event has raised over $8 million dollars to support local healthcare efforts. There are a couple of fantastic tastings and, of course, the Charity Auction over the course of two days, Friday, September 6th and Saturday, September 7th. More information about the event can be found at Winesong.org.

As I said, I will be out there participating and bidding (who knows?), but I am also planning on taking my bike. So if you are up for supporting a great cause, or would like to join me for a ride (or both?), let me know: jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com.

That’s all I have today—have a great and safe Saturday!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
