I am once again on the road this week, this time heading back from Rome with the family after close to two weeks in Europe. As I normally do, I revisit one of my favorite editions of Sundays Are For Sebastian.
Today’s flashback comes from 2016 when Sebastian was eight years old….
Sebastian is my eight-year-old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
I gave Sebastian a math problem. Almost immediately, Nathan (who is five and a half years older) annoyingly said: “I know.”
Sebastian continued to struggle.
A moment later Nathan again stated he knew.
When I did not respond, he put the answer on his new smartwatch and showed his mother. She could not read it. He showed it to me and I could not read it either. He then lamented his parents declining eyesight.
Sebastian (who had still not responded to the original problem): “Let me see if I can read it.”
