Sundays Are For Sebastian #323

Sebastian is our thirteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Sebastian was working on his math homework.

Seba: “What’s 5 to the third?”

Me: “You mean ‘5 cubed’?”

Seba: “Yes?”

Me: “Seriously? Dude.”

Seba: “225?”

Me: “Come on, man.”

Seba: “250?”

Me: “Dude, 5 cubed. 5 times five times five. What’s five times five?”

Choo: “25”

Me: “And 25 times 5?”

Choo: “Ummmm…”

Me: “Dude. How much is five quarters?”

Choo: “$1.25?”

Me: “Ummmm…”

Choo: “Oh!”

Me: “Math is hard.”

Choo: “Be quiet. This is not my finest moment.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
