Sundays Are For Sebastian Revisited (#260)

This week, Sebastian had Spring Break, so we took advantage of his time off and went to Austin for a few days. As I normally do while away from home, I republish a Sundays Are For Sebastian. This one comes from a couple of years ago, when Seba was eleven.

Sebastian is my eleven-year-old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Sebastian is now in the sixth grade and the expectations and workload have increased dramatically. He was working on a study guide for an upcoming test in history.

The question: “Name four things that men and women did in a ‘hunting and gathering’ society.”

Sebastian wrote:

“1. Hunt.  2. Gather.”

When I questioned him on his response, he simply stated: “I don’t think they did anything else.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
