Sundays Are For Sebastian #339

Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

While Sebastian’s older brother, Nathan, was home from college this summer, we were playing poker one evening. Nathan fancies himself as quite the card shark, but often loses to his brother who we all consider one of the luckiest people on the planet.

After Nathan flamed out in the poker game yet again…

Nathan: “I really felt like I was going to be lucky this time.”

Sebastian: “Ha! When’s the last time you got lucky?”

Me: “Um… Next subject.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
