Sundays Are For Sebastian #349

Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

We have a rule on the weekends that there the boys are not allowed to have any screen time until one of them has taken the dog for a walk in the morning.

Since Nathan left for school, that has been left to Sebastian and we had been a bit lax in enforcing the rule.

Until yesterday.

At around 8, he headed out. Mere moments later, as I was rolling out on my bike ride, he was back.

Later, at dinner….

Me: “Hey, when you take the dog for a walk, it has to be more than 3 minutes!”

Sebastian: “What are you talking about? It was at least six or six and a half minutes!”

Me: “Do you hear yourself when you speak?”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
