Sundays Are For Sebastian #350

Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

The other day, we somehow got into quizzing about state capitols. Sebastian was confident that he “knew them all.”

Me: “OK, West Viriginia.”

Sebastian: “Ummmm. Well, ‘Virginia’ is off the table.”

Me: “Good call.”

Seba: “Ummmmm.”

Me: “I guess ‘all’ was a bit of an overreach?”

Seba: “No, I’ve got this, ummmmm.”

[Pause]

Seba: “Washington D.C.!!”

Me: “Seriously?”

Seba: “What?”

Me: “What do they teach you at school? Seriously, what?”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

Sebastian has always had a marvelous sense of humor, but look how big he is!! I feel as though I’ve watched him grow up to be quite the young man!!
