Sundays Are For Sebastian #355

Sebastian is our fourteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

My wife and Sebastian visited California during my trip there last week. Last Saturday, we needed to drive from Healdsburg in Sonoma County down to the San Francisco Airport. Instead of following the GPS-suggested route, we decided to cross the Golden Gate Bridge in order to take a few pictures.

Me (to Sebastian): “Have you ever seen the Golden Gate Bridge?”

Sebastian: “Bruh.”

Me: “What does that mean?”

Seba: “Bruh!”

Me: “OK, how long are we going to play this game.”

Seba: “I have seen the bridge hundreds of times.”

Me: “What are you talking about? You may have seen it when you were a really little kid, but I doubt you remember.”

Seba: “Bruh.”

Me: “Ugh. Let’s not start that again. When have you seen the bridge?”

Seba: “All the time, it is a part of the logo on the Golden State Warriors uniforms.”

Me: “Bruh.”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
