A Couple of Tasting Announcements

Just a couple of quick announcements on this somewhat gloomy morning here in Houston:

First, I will be leading a tasting of four wines from around the world (spoiler: South Africa, France, Argentina, and the U.S.) that will be paired with dances from those same regions (don’t be confused; I will not be dancing). this is a fund-raiser for the Uptown Dance Centre’s scholarship fund. This will be the second year that I will be involved with the event and last year was a ton of fun. For more information, click on the graphic below:

Second, on the following weekend, I will be hosting the Seventh Annual World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosé for other members of the Houston wine community. As of this morning, I have 48 different rosés in hand and I am expecting at least a handful more. If you are interested in submitting a rosé or attending the tasting (we have space for one or two more) please send me an email (jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com). Here is the photo of the wines we tasted last year:

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
