If you thin that my article this month in Spring Branch Plus Magazine looks a lot like my post on April 1st, you are correct, they are virtually identical. The curious thing about it, however, is that some have seen it as “political” in nature.

While I do not try to hide my political leanings (I consider myself a liberal), I also do not hide the opinion that there needs to be more, even much more, conversation between both sides of this very divided country. And to that end, I always welcome a healthy and respectful exchange of ideas.

But this article was not that (at least it was not intended that way). It was simply meant to poke a little fun at the French (whom I love, most of the time) and celebrate April 1st. Yes, as some of you realized, this was a April Fool’s joke and was not meant to be political in any way, so I apologize if it was perceived as such!
