Sundays Are For Sebastian #421

Sebastian is our seventeen-year-old son, and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

We were in a restaurant watching the World Cup. I had told the server that we’d order food eventually, but since it was only 5:00, we wanted to wait just a bit.

Before the first half ended, Sebastian decided he was hungry, but we couldn’t attract the attention of the server.

Seba: “We should have ordered the wings prematurely. “

Me: “Huh?”

Seba: “We should have ordered the wings prematurely. “

Me: “I’m pretty sure you don’t know what that word means.”

Seba: “What word?”

Me: “Prematurely”

Seba: “Yeah I do!”

Me: “It means ‘doing something before you should have’.”

Seba paused. “Then, Bruh, new meaning…”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
