Sebastian is our thirteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.
Me: “How did you do with Wordle today?”
He held up three fingers.
Me: “There’s no way you got it in three.”
Sebastian: “Yeah! My first word was ‘Ladder’.”
Me: “What? That’s six letters and has two Ds how could you use that?”
Seba: “It doesn’t have two Ds!”
Me: “Uh, ‘ladder? Yes, it does. Do you mean ‘Later‘ (but are pronouncing it ‘latter‘)?”
Seba: “No! Look!”
He showed me his phone: “Lader “
Me: “Huh? What does that mean?”
Seba: “I have no idea. I thought it was ‘ladder’.“
Me: “How did you choose that word?!?”
Seba: “I watched a video on how to win at Wordle on YouTube. “
