Sundays Are For Sebastian Revisited (#220)

This weekend, I am in New York, for a wine event and yes, I was also here for the blizzard and frigid temperatures. Lucky me. As I usually do while on the road, I revisit a Sundays are for Sebastian. This one comes from seven years ago when Seba was nine.

Sebastian is my nine-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Me: “Sebastian, how did you do on your math test today?”

Seba: “Not great, I got one question wrong, and that gave me a 92%.”

Me: “You got one question wrong and got a 92?”

Seba: “Yeah.”

Me: “What did you get wrong?”

Seba: “I spelled “four” wrong?”

Me: “Huh? I thought it was a math test….”

Seba: “Yeah, it was, but I spelled four wrong. I wrote the short line and the long line but not the other line.”

Me: “What are you talking about?”

Seba: “I forgot the line that joins the short line and the long line.”

Me: “You lost me.”

He then showed me the question on his test:

“What is the sum of all the factors of 35?”

The correct answer is 48 (1+5+7+35), but Sebastian wrote what looked a lot like 118 only the first digit was about half as long as the second.
