Sundays Are For Sebastian—#38

Several months ago, I started a new weekly theme: Sundays Are For Sebastian. Sebastian is my five year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Last year during this same week, we were out in Seattle visiting my wife’s sister. One afternoon, we rented two boats and took them out in Seattle Harbor. The 16 members of the extended family split up into two boats. We pull out in the first boat, for our two hour ride. We wait for a several minutes, but do not see the other boat behind us. I say to my wife: “Where are they?”

The ever competitive Sebastian interjects: “Maybe they sinked!”

He then raises both arms and exclaims:

“That means we win!”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
