Sundays Are For Sebastian—#57

Happy Mother’s Day!

Don’t Forget to Vote for This Month’s Wine Writing Challenge!

Sebastian is my five-year old and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

Nathan has recently taken great interest in his hair. Nearly every day, he combs it with great care. He has quite a mop on top, and so one dinner I referred to him as “the Biebs” (Justin Bieber).

Sebastian started laughing uncontrollably.

Me: “So Sebastian, you think he looks like the Biebs, too?”
Seba: “Oh yeah!”
[Pause]
Sebastian then leaned over to me and whispered: “‘The Biebs’ means ‘Boobs’, right?”photo-47

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Philadelphia with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

  3. Lolz in fairness, he’s practically right. Justin Bieber is like a pair of boobs except he’s more useless.

  4. I understand Sebastian. When I was that age, everything that sounded like another thing HAD to be related to that other thing. Like when I met a girl named Trudy, and I forever after thought of her as Tutti-Fruity.

I’m pretty sure Sebastian is a poet–a funny one, like Shel Silverstein or Billy Collins.

That kid is a riot. And he’s right. The Beibs is practically a breast. 🙂

  6. Hahaha, hilarious. Particularly since he apparently agrees to the idea of looking like boobs!! I always feel like I should have a secret camera or microphone recording everything my boys say and do. Turning the funniest bit of every week into a blog post is perfect 🙂
