Saturday Reminders–9/5/15

If all is going well, I am out on the Pacific Coast, in a tiny town in Mendocino County at a camping wedding. Yeah. Apparently, there is not only no internet, but also absolutely no phone service. Yeah. But being the magnanimous type of guy that I am, I thought I would leave you a couple of weekly reminders.

1. Well, the wine dinner that we were planning at Fare Restaurant for the week that Pope Francis invades our fair city (see what I did there?) has been postponed. It seems as though the Secret Service got wind of our proposed theme (you will have to check it out HERE since I was told not to mention it again) and they thought people might take it the wrong way.

We do not have another date scheduled yet, but I will certainly let you know when we do.

2. Last month , Elizabeth of Traveling Wine Chick, the winner of the last Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC18), selected the theme for this month’s Challenge, #MWWC19:

Choice

All the details for this month’s Challenge can be found HERE.

If you have not yet thought about it, you might want to get on it as the deadline is 9/14.

Have a great Saturday folks!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

Well it should be crowded. We were in Gualala yesterday – moderately wacky.
