It has been a fairly busy week around here as we plan to head over to France for the better part of two weeks. That involved getting the boys’ passports renewed, which meant a trip to the U.S. passport office here in Houston. We had gone through the process before in Philadelphia and it was no big deal, but here in Texas, it is a different ballgame and consumed the better part of two days.
Thus, I am really looking forward to getting out on my bike here in a few minutes, but before I do, here are a few reminders:
- The Tour de France is sadly over, but the fun part is just beginning for a few of you! (Yes, I have a penchant for hyperbole.) I will be notifying the winners of the #TourDeBicicleta contest this week! (But I will not likely send out the wine for another couple of months once it cools down at least a little bit—today the forecast is calling for a high of 101°.)
- As some of you likely know, I have extended the deadline for the latest Monthly Wine Writing Challenge (#MWWC34) to this Monday, which hopefully will enable a few more people (like me) to submit an article! All the details can be found HERE.
- This is the absolute last weekend to contribute to the MS150! The deadline is July 31st, so if you have been meaning to donate to my ride, click on the graphic below. Every dollar counts!
Have a Happy Saturday!
