There is a lot going on today. Well, really just two things: I am going out for a quick bike ride and then I am planting myself on the couch to watch my favorite college football team play their big rival. If that second item goes well, I might just spend the rest of the day watching more football. If it goes poorly? I might have to “taste” through a few dozen samples. Before I hop on my carbon fiber steed, here are a couple of reminders for you:
- I have had to postpone my Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noirs due to the fires in California–there were a number of wineries in Sonoma in particular that wanted to participate, but they had bigger issues, like a huge, raging wildfire. The date is now December 7th and 8th. I had to make it two days since there are now 95 Pinots to taste. If you would like to either attend or have a wine in the tasting, send me an email: jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com.
- I am also going to try to squeeze in my Annual Tasting of American Sparkling Wines the following weekend (December 14th). If you would like to either attend or have a wine in the tasting, send me an email: jeff (at) thedrunkencyclist (dot) com.
That’s all I have today—have a great and safe Saturday!
The fires terrify me. Just one reason why I finally gave up my “California dreaming”… If only those who could would put resources into finding a true solution.
I hope your team wins, Jeff. Cheers.
