Sundays Are For Sebastian #394

Sebastian is our sixteen-year-old son and he says some of the funniest things–we have no idea where he gets his material since his mother and I are rather boring, serious people.

As some of you know, I am the J.V. basketball coach at Sebastian’s school where he is a starter on the Varsity. This week, we had the coaching staff over for dinner….

Me: “Did you know that Coach Josh has a daughter? He is just a few weeks older than Nathan. Imagine if Nathan were a father…”

Sebastian: “That would make me an uncle. I would be an awesome uncle.”

Me: “That is a scary thought. What’s scarier is that would make me a grandfather!”

Seba: “That tracks. You are certainly old enough…”

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
