It is that time once again, time to announce the results of this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge. In all this month, there were 12 eligible entries for the theme “Pairing” which was supplied by last month’s winner, Jim of JvB Uncorked.
There was a fairly good showing this month for the Challenge, with sixteen entries (a slight blip higher than the recent trend). Included in those sixteen was a bevy of first-time entrants into the Challenge. Voting was also very active this go around, with the second highest number of votes registered. In the end, the “race” came down to two newcomers to the Challenge, Easy Frascati and L’Occasion.
So without any further ado…
L’Occasion: Wine: Is There Such Thing As A Perfect Pairing?
As the winner of this month’s challenge, Jill, as mentioned, a first-time contributor, has the “honor” of choosing the topic for next month’s Challenge. She also gets to proudly sport the badge below on her site.
Congratulations to Jill, a talented writer with a wonderful blog–hopefully we will see her in future challenges.
Stay tuned for the next theme!

Congratulations, Jill!

Merci beaucoup, beaucoup! So very much fun, I can’t wait for the next round. I’m toasting The Drunken Cyclist for rounding up this group of wine writers/readers/lovers. I’d love to hang out here all day and imagine the good times that are portrayed in each post.

No need to toast me! I just saw a boulder on the top of a hill and gave it a little nudge….

Reblogged this on L'occasion and commented:
Is it too early for Champagne? Maybe, but maybe not because… I’m so excited. (Can you see me, rushing around with a flute, spilling bubbles all over my keyboard, the sofa, my Yorkie?).
I had so much fun writing the piece for #MWWC21. Over the past few months I’ve been reading the entries, tweeting away, loving the wine-based-creativity that this challenge brings. It’s refreshing to have content to enjoy that doesn’t just point out scores, tasting notes and facts. It’s an imaginative and wise group gathered here.
I get to choose next month’s theme and I’m noodling it now. More fun on the way!
