This is shaping up to be a rather big week for me. First, I am coaching in the semi-finals of my son’s basketball league playoffs today (that sounds impressive until you realize that there are only six teams in the league). We face the top team today–I will let you know how that goes. Wednesday is the next wine dinner at Fare, which is shaping up to be a doozy. The theme is Greek food and wine and already there are a ton of people on the reservation list. Friday night, I have my next Spinning class followed by a wine tasting. It has been over-sold for weeks now, but I still have not purchased the wine for the event. I better get on that. Saturday night I am hosting a private wine dinner for one of my favorite Sonoma Pinot producers and then Sunday I am off to New York City for a Piper-Heidsieck Oscars party.
Phew.
Nonetheless, I do have a couple of announcements today:
- I announced the new theme for this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge this past week and in case you missed it, the new theme is, well, “NEW.” All the details can be found HERE and the deadline is March 7th.
- The date for this month’s Wine Dinner at Fare Restaurant is Wednesday, February 24th at 7:00. There are a bunch of people who say they are going on my Facebook page invite, but only a dozen or so have actually reserved a spot with the restaurant. So if you would like to go, please call the restaurant (267-639-3063). the cost is $75 (plus tax and tip) for the 5 course meal with wine.

Have a great Saturday folks!

Well git ‘er done then! I am sure all the teams will go home with a trophy. 😉
