Saturday Reminders–9/17/16

Well, I am back in Texas, at least for the time being. It looks like I will be off to Europe again this week, this time to the South of France for a week. Today, though, will be filled with the most American of activities: Sebastian has his first football game today (albeit flag football). Then, I will likely park my keister in front of the T.V. for a bit to watch some college football. I am very excited about that since I missed the first two weekends in Italy and I will miss the next two while in France.

Feel free to feel sorry for me.

Here are my reminders for the day.

  1. There is still time to vote for this month’s Monthly Wine Writing Challenge! The voting closes Monday, so if you are not watching college football today read all the entries HERE and then vote!
  2. AList_2016_LogoAs I mentioned on Tuesday (I think), the Oregon Wine is once again sponsoring the Oregon Wine A-List Awards. They are looking for restaurants across the globe that have stellar representations of Oregon wines on their wine lists. Do you have any in your corner of the world? If so, you should provide the Board with all the details so they can spread the word! All the details can be found HERE.

Have a great weekend everyone!

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

That Oklahoma vs Ohio State looks like it will be a good one- you can be sure Derek will be watching if he has time.
