Saturday Reminders

Happy Saturday everyone! We have another full day ahead of us with the boys’ Tae Kwon Do, a basketball game for Sebastian, hopefully a bike ride this afternoon (since the forecast calls for mid-60s), and finally dinner with the in-laws. So there is at least one thing to look forward to today! Before I head out the door, I have a few reminders for you.

  1. Today is Australia Day in the wine world. What does that mean? Grab a bottle of your favorite Aussie wine and crack it open with your barbecued kangaroo. OK, well maybe you can just have it with a steak, or a salad, or maybe a Vegemite sandwich. Here is what I will be drinking:
  2. I am still taking orders for perhaps the best wine deal you will find all year. I plan on placing the order on February 3rd. So there is still time to take advantage. Here are the details: Amelle Pinot Noir
  3. Tomorrow is WineBerserkers Day. What is that? WineBeserkers is the largest online wine community, visited by consumers and producers alike. Tomorrow, many producers will come online, offering incredible deals on their wines. Something definitely worth checking out.

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.
