Focusing on Wine with Texas Barbecue

I am about to get on a plane not headed to wine country (unless there are vines in Cleveland that I don’t know about) but I wanted to pass along the second column I have now had published with the Fort Bend FocusThis month I focused on Texas barbecue and some wines that pair exceedingly well with smoked Texas beef.

It’s a quick read, and I’d love it if you go check it out and let me know what you think! (Click on the image below and it will take you to the digital issue, my piece is on pages 24-25.)

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

There are actually 16 wineries/vineyards in the Cleveland Ohio area.

Article looks good to me. Quick and easy read. Specific fairly easy to find recommendations. Hits the spot so to speak.
