Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #6—Update

wine-stain1-3This morning I received an entry into Monthly Wine Writing Challenge #6, from none other than the über-talented and multi-faceted Julia Bailey!

By my count, that brings the total number of entries up to nine, with more than a week to go! I feel rather confident that we might break the record for total number of entries (15) since several incredible writers have not yet entered (Talk-a-Vino, Food and Wine Hedonist, The Winegetter, Armchairsommelier, My Custard Pie, and many more).

Remember, the theme this month is “Mystery” and all the rules for the challenge (and all the previous challenges and entries) can be found here:

About the drunken cyclist

I have been an occasional cycling tour guide in Europe for the past 20 years, visiting most of the wine regions of France. Through this "job" I developed a love for wine and the stories that often accompany the pulling of a cork. I live in Houston with my lovely wife and two wonderful sons.

I have to admit that while I thought this is a great theme, it appears to be very difficult to find a good and original interpretation of it, especially considering the entries which are already made. No, I’m not giving up, but at the same time I’m not so sure about my entry…
